Privacy
Effective October 16, 2026. Clean View is provided by WINDESIGN LABS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED. Contact: superdev@windesign.io.
Your media
Viewing and scanning happen locally on your Mac. The app stores file locations, sizes and related metadata in its local library index. Your images, videos, documents and scanned folder contents are not sent to our account service.
Google sign-in and accounts
If you sign in, Google provides your account identifier, verified email and basic profile information. Clean View uses your identifier, email and name to maintain your trial dates and activation status. Sign-in tokens are stored in your Mac’s Keychain. Our server validates Google identity tokens; it does not receive your Google password. Ordinary account sign-in does not request access to Gmail, Drive or Google Photos.
Optional Google Drive connection
Connecting Google Drive is a separate, optional step. Clean View requests read-only Drive access to list image files and folders and download photos you open. You can show all photos or filter to selected folders and their subfolders; this filter does not narrow Google’s underlying read-only permission. Clean View does not upload, edit or delete your Drive files.
Drive credentials are saved in macOS Keychain. File metadata and folder choices are saved locally, thumbnails are held in memory, and opened photos are cached on your Mac. Drive data and credentials are not sent to Clean View’s account service, Vercel, Turso, Polar or an AI service. Use the Google Drive menu in Clean View to clear downloaded photos or disconnect. Disconnect removes local credentials and folder choices; downloaded photo caches remain until cleared. You can revoke the grant in your Google Account connections settings.
Clean View’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google data is used only for the user-facing features described here, not advertising or training generalized AI models.
Purchases
When you choose Buy, your account name and email are shared with Polar to create the checkout and match your purchase to your Clean View account. Polar processes payment information under its own privacy policy. Clean View stores the customer identifier and whether the purchase is active; it does not store payment card details.
Service providers and retention
Google provides sign-in, Polar handles purchases, and Vercel and Turso provide the account service and database. Providers may process connection and service logs needed to operate their services. Account and activation records are retained to restore access and prevent trial resets. Owner changes to trial dates or manual activations are recorded for account administration.
Your choices
You can sign out in the app to remove its saved Google tokens. Signing out does not delete the local media index or the account’s purchase history. Contact superdev@windesign.io to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account records. Purchase records that must be retained for accounting or legal obligations may be retained by the payment provider. Local files remain under your control.
We do not sell Google account data or use it for advertising. Google account information is used only for the account, trial and activation features described here.
